يستطيع عدد كبير من الزوّار ضبط هواتفهم مسبقًا حتى قبل أن تقلع الطائرة. فالأجهزة الحديثة الداعمة لشريحة eSIM تسمح بإعداد خط بيانات رقمي قبل بلوغ قطر، فيعمل من تلقاء نفسه ما إن تُشغَّل خدمة الجوال عقب النزول. وإلى جانب ذلك، يبدأ التجوال الدولي عادةً بمجرّد ملامسة الطائرة للأرض لمن يرغب في الاحتفاظ بخط بلده، شرط أن يكون الجهاز داعمًا لهذه الخدمة وأن يكون وضع الطيران قد أُوقِف.A great many visitors can set their phones up ahead of time, even before the plane leaves the ground.
